Donald Glover’s Leaked ‘Deadpool’ TV Script Questions If Series Was Canceled Due to ‘Racism’

As it turns out, Donald Glover was not too busy to work on his “Deadpool” TV series. In fact, he told fans as much in a storm of Tuesday morning tweets, which included a 15-page script for the animated FX show that made pointed references to why he and his brother Stephen Glover exited the project.
And the quips about racism, the TV industry and Marvel came straight from the Merc with a Mouth’s mouth.

“You know, I’m not mad about this whole ‘cancelled’ thing,” Deadpool says in the script. “I mean, is it even a good time to have a violent, gun loving white man ranting on TV? Other than the PRESIDENT?”

While the Regenerating Degenerate first speculates the cartoon probably wouldn’t have been a big hit in toy aisles, he then wonders: “Do you think they canceled the show… cause of racism?! Yeah, but all the writers were black. And the references were pretty black too. … Maybe we were alienating our white audience? No. We did a whole goat yoga episode. Damn.”
