Timothee Chalamet to Play Henry V in Drama ‘The King’

Call Me By Your Name star Timothee Chalamet is set to star as a young Henry V in The King, a drama from director David Michod and co-writer Joel Edgerton, the Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Chalamet has nabbed the lead role in the long-gestating modern-day Shakespearan adaptation from Edgerton and Michod, who earlier worked together on the screenplay for Animal Kingdom, which Michod directed.

Chalamet starred opposite Armie Hammer in Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me by Your Name, a break-out role that earned him a best actor Oscar nomination and award season buzz.

The actor’s other film credits include the coming-of-age story Hot Summer Nights, Greta Gerwig’s Oscar-nominated directorial debut Lady Bird, and Scott Cooper’s Hostiles.

Chalamet previously appeared on Showtime series Homeland. He is repped by UTA and Ginsburg Daniels.
